We do stylish entertainment you can count on. You are welcome to visit our Tea Garden in a botanical garden that ranks as one of the most important scientific collections on the African Subcontinent, and enjoy breakfasts, light lunches, and tantalizing treats and drinks.

We also specialize in functions, weddings, office parties and birthday parties. Menu���s and prices are not given here, because of our personal consultation according to the client���s needs, tastes and budget.

The Tea Garden is situated in a family-friendly environment. Kids can visit their own natural jungle gym, situated adjacent to the tea garden.

The Gardens:
The Pretoria National Botanical Garden feature over half of the country���s tree species as well as cycads, aloes and other striking collections. Paved nature trails give access to the fascinating natural vegetation of the rocky ridge above the Garden. The Garden is particularly famous for its glasshouse collection of plants from Madagascar, Namibia and Namaqualand.

The Garden is situated 8 km from the center of Pretoria and also accommodates both subtropical and temperate plants, giving the visitor a glimpse of the beautiful and varied flora of the sub-continent.

A visit to the Pretoria National Botanical Garden will reward you at any time of the year, because of its wide range of plants. The pleasant grounds offer more than an hour���s steady walking.

You are always welcome to visit the Botanical Tea Garden to dine surrounded by Cape fynbos, Karoo and highveld grasslands as well as a considerable bird population.

The Botanical Tea Garden is situated next to the waterfall, which is an ideal spot for drinks on arrival and a lovely backdrop for photographs for functions. It is open 7 days a week from 08:00 until 17:00 or later, for special functions. Check the press and adverts and our news/events section for these mouth-watering events. A small entrance fee is charged. Pensioners can visit free of charge on Tuesdays and enjoy a free cup of coffee.

This Garden, one of the eight gardens of the National Botanical Institute, is a place where indigenous plants can be experienced, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The ideal place for open-air exercise, walking or jogging; safe for a family outing and a scenic spot for breakfasts, lunches, coffee and tea-time.

The Botanical Gardens in Pretoria has a Cultural museum with colourful Ndebele huts and traditional arts and crafts, which are very educational. Tours can be booked for schools as well as a trip around the gardens with a botanist.

The vist to the Ndebele huts was very interesting and educational, with the botanical walk really enjoyable and informative. The Mokha Restaurant provides good lunches, although prices can be steep for some things. In a beautiful location with the ducks and water keeping children entertained, the reataurant itself is tastefully decorated and has safe parking outside.
The Gardens itself is great for picnics, no ball games or rough sports allowed but nature in the concrete jungle with a walk to the waterfall and around the koppie. A dassie or two can be spotted and it is a treat for the nature lover
